Reservation worries for cine-going customers ..@TGTicketgreen @bookmyshow_sup

Dear @TGTicketgreen @bookmyshow_sup message is very clear …..Most of the movie goers in all towns always wanted/wants to have similar reservation system that exists in big metros like in Chennai... …that is, when we book for a seat in a screen, you are collecting the full amount (all the three components for a ticket together … that is ticket cost, internet handling charges and the tax ) …that is very safe and satisfying indeed ... but in tier two towns like Trichy, you are doing half reservation.. That is you are collecting only the internet handling charges and the tax …. This keeps all the movie goers in to deep trouble and unsecured ... why because when we block the ticket through your online reservation system, we always face the two hour deadline …. The deadline is we need to report a cinema hall, at least two hours before the start of the movie ... can you expect a whole family to report to a cinema hall , two hour early , for no mistake of theirs …. Why don’t you collect full amount universally for all the seats, at all the screens at all the towns and all the states too …. You take the full amount from us and give us the relief of reporting the cinema hall just 15 minutes before the movie starting time ….. Reservation portals like you should be strict on this matter for the benefit of the customers one in all …. Expecting the real positive response from you …. Thanks

A very reasonable request Sridhar. Here in Malaysia, there are two types of bookings. Firstly, is an online reservation system which requires no payments whatsoever when doing the transaction as one is only making a booking which is subject to cancellation if you do not show up in the cinema 45 minutes before movie time. I noticed that on your end it is 2 hours before which seems quite ridiculous especially with families who have children. Secondly, is the online purchase of tickets. Here, general class cinema tickets costs RM 10.00 which is approximately INR 200 and the booking fee is RM 1.00 which is approximately INR 20 . I also observed that the amount that they charge for the 'booking service' was about half of the ticket price which again I feel is absurd. Here, for the online purchase, the tickets are your and secured even if you show up one hour late, the ticket is yours. I thoroughly hope that such a predicament is resolved soon with the operators and hope that cinema goers over there get to enjoy a better quality service in the future. After all, India is the IT capital of the world and this is a very minor issue if they would want to resolve. Just sharing our experience here for you to be able to compare. Cheers
