I think I first started using email in 2001 ... Those days Yahoo mail was the only hope ... In that initial day, I created two or three mail ID in my first day itself ... On those days mobile phone was still not there ... Just fill your info ... You got your email id ... Even today , I have been maintaining the Yahoo Mail created 13 years ago ... Thereafter Rediff mail came ... I created an ID .. Never got it back ... I know Rediff was also a decent email provider ...Then there used to be pure Indian Mail system called Indiatimes Mail .. Now it is no more ... RIP ...There was one more email called sify mail ... I just created an ID with Sify Mail , never to use it again ... Ok ok ... I forgot the HOTMAIL ... Hotmail is also a good old email service by Microsoft ... In those days there used to be another email called MSN.com ... I had once created an ID with Hotmail ... I lost the password and the phone number connected with it ... Never to recover it again ... Recently they had introduced live.com and outlook.comas email provider ... I have just created one ID each with them too ... But my permanent friendly email is none other than GMail only ... When GMail was cropping up in 2007 , I initially had my own doubts .,, I doubted how come a search engine could compete with Giants like Yahoo ... to my surprise till date I am a Gmail customer ...

கல்யாணி எங்கே???? When we were all in Fleming we were not that much relaxed …. but paradise was really a paradise ….. there was no difference between the batches …. There used to be no difference between junior and senior ……there used to be CRRI from chronic additional batches too … if I say the truth here , THEY USED TO BE VERY KIND TO US ……. The first beer which was introduced to me/us was Kalyani…. Now I realize it belong to beer of UB Group ……… another one we used to taste was the QUARTER …… quarter used to be a famous word in those days …probably it was 240 ml of whisky … I remember one of my junior used to organize the quarter party …. On the days of “no duty” …we had enjoyed the booze parties in paradise ….. there used to be 5 or 6 members , JOIN IN A ROOM , and enjoy the quarter parties …. The topic of discussion used to be from anything in the world …. A to Z ……….in those days AR Rehman had entered the music industry (1993) … Roja was in which year ???… there used to be hot discussions favoring AR Rehman and those against him…. I USED TO BE THE ILAYARAJA SUPPORTER ALWAYS … even now too… I feel proud on that . there used to be so many special varieties of parties which I don’t want to describe now ………. Next thing I want to share in about Pondicherry ….. I think the first time we went to Pondicherry was in 1990 … we went to Cuddalore to attend my batch mate Dr Sathyarathnam’s marriage in 1990 in cuddalore …(sorry to say he is more now RIP…) … we made a short visit to Pondicherry then which used to look like a different world as such … the heaven …. We were also pleased to find the low charges for the booze ….. is anybody from Pondicherry here … Le Café was my favorite restaurant (right on the beach)....... could find the afternoon lunch with snack and beer … there used to be one more fantastic place called Seagulls restaurant right on the beach …( on the corner) ….. Seagulls restaurant used to offer fantastic beer ( Kalyani too ) ….. With wonderful snack and mains ….. ………..after leaving the college we were forced to forget these things ….. one more point …I could never find Kalyani thereafter … the beer which befriended us long ago …. Even now I could not find Kalyani… can i say RIP .. KALYANI here ....

Jeeva tamil movie review

Jeeva What a poetic movie ... Lucky I saw this movie .... Usual love story shown with sweet approach .... Vishnu and divya are school going teens , and who are neighbours too .... Both are from middle class background and  a love buds in between them .... She expresses her love very poetically .... Meantime he loves cricket from the tender age .... But faces so many problems to come up in cricket .... First half was so poetic ...., it was on par with alaigal oivarhillai , and nenchaththai killathe level class .... But the second half was all about cricket politics and how he almost lose his career because of caste politics in state cricket .... First half of the movie was a poem .... I might have given 4.5/5 .... But second half was just ok types .... So final mark for the movie is 3.5/5 .... Definitely recommended .....

Sigaram Thodu movie review

Singaram Thodu .... (Good movie .... But not so great though ..........)Vikram Prabhu is a freestyle person who want to enjoy and freak out in life ...but His father ( Sathyaraj ) , is a retired SI in Tamilnadu police , who wants his son ( Prabhu ) to become a police officer ...in the meantime .vikram gets introduced to the heroine in a tour program .... Gradually love blossoms between them .... She is a daughter of a police officer .... She too hates police life and wants to enjoy a pure civil life .... She decides to marry vikramprabhu ( without uniform ) .... But Sathyaraj  , having a strong vision in life , tries (his level best ) , to persuade Vikram Prabhu to join police force ..... Finally vikram joins the police academy as a trainee officer .... The movie moves further in nice twits and turns ....  Vikram becomes the police ( finally ) and deals with the criminals who are stealing money from the ATMs .... I like the role of Sathyaraj ... Even after so many years Sathyaraj has proved himself as a great actor .... Vikram Prabhu with his midukku , perfectly fits in to his uniform ..... Another fine thing I liked in this movie is the usage of modern technology ..... So many cinematic effects ... Loved it ... Though the movie is okeyish , nothing to rave about this ....  Can be seen once my marks .... 3 / 5 .....

MARIS HOTEL Chennai ..... wow

MARIS HOTEL .... What a fantastic restaurant ... Such a nice place for veggies ....  We ordered for a lunch ... There were Sumptuous items .... Rice was good ... One  kinnam paruppu with ghee ,  kinnam sambhar , kinnam vaththa kolambu , kinnam of rasam , coconut paruppu payasam , curd , four varieties of side dish ... There was  cabbage fry , aloo fry , AVIAL  , beans koottu , Raitha ,,,,, not to forget the two poori pieces ...... All these were in unlimited quantities ..... ( I was just remembering one restaurant in Trichy , where they served with spoons .... ) .... All vegetables were here are fresh .... All these stuff is just for Rs 120 ... Believe me the ambience was like a star resto .... It was a fine fine in restaurant ..... Dono how I missed this place sofar .... This is called customer satisfaction ..... Not like some restaurants are looting the customers and then explaining the customers point 1, 2, 3 , 4 etc ..... Will visit again ..... ( little known Gem ) ..... My marks for this resto 4/5 .....

Aruna theater trichy

Aruna theatre is there ... There is no more little Aruna .... It a old class  cinema theatre .... Now a days multiples always remain cramped with out much parking place ... But this cinema hall has plenty of car parking ...,  Aruna has good old chairs of my childhood period ... When I entered through the ticket counter queue , my time went back for about 20 years back ... Now a days manual tickets are slowly getting faded down ... I got thrilled to stand in the manual queue .... More thrilled that the first class was just Rs 20 only ... ( pleasant surprise ) .... In the interval took some coffee ... They had one good old model ice cream bar .... But nobody took ice cream there .... The theatre hall is somewhat better than Ramakrishna etc .... Enjoyed the movie , came out happily .... Misery of movie lovers of Trichy ... Sometimes good movie lovers of Trichy could come to a conclusion , why they are living in Trichy .... While rest all major towns maintaining constant standards in releasing the movies , and pricing the movies ....the distributes ( TT Distributers ) and theatre owners of Trichy don't take any interest or good step in screening good movies ...  Recent example in the movie interstellar .... Even cinema halls in Dindigul are screening the iconic movie interstellar ... Why not Trichy ? ... More than that , whenever a blockbuster , Mega Tamil-movie gets released , more so in festival times , the theatre owners stop the online booking in a cunning way ... But some theatres , fearing government action , keep the online open , only for few hours or perhaps few minutes only ......  Even if they open online booking , they don't collect the full charges ... They only collect the charges for blocking the seat .... this is also a cunning step .... Even if you block a ticket , you need to pay again at the cinema hall .... In cinema halls , they ask up to 200 rupees , which are already blocked via online paying some 15 rupees per ticket ..., ...  Even If you reach  the cinema hall , one hour before the screening of the movie .. They say , that particular ticket is already sold out ... What the hell of a system .,,,  Why don't they  collect the full amount from the patrons ? .., all these points needs to be corrected ....

irctc

irctc is creating hell for me... yesterday i was trying to take print out...it sucked nicely...i nearly two hours at a public browsing center....i initially idiotically quarreled with the administrator, regarding the speed...later on realized that the fucking website www.irctc.co.in has really crashed...i went home late....my wife was furious....she asked hundred questions why i was late... it was hell yesterday... all because of irctc....then i woke up at 0100 in early morning and saved my reservations...then i took print out today again going to the browsing center...this is really a big shit....

my cycle journey in trichy

I want to narrate my cycle journeys in town ... When I travel in a cycle , generally I need to revolve my pedal and gain at least 10 kilometers per hour so that I gain balance ,,, I explain what I face really ,,, honestly every 100 meters I face somebody crossing from my left hand side of the road ,,, every 100 meters we face human crossings ,,, there is no flyover so that people can cross the road safely ,,, it is sad that the mini flyover concept is totally defunct in our state ,,, thanks to the greedy builders , who encroach each and every inch of the road ,,,the road crossers come instantly ,,, we can't expect ,,, suddenly cycle need to be stopped ,,, then I need to pedal from the scratch to gain speed ,,, my knee is gone ,,,, then comes the cattle ,,, Aadu and Maadu etc roaming around freely ... The owners of these cattle use the public roads as their cattle shelters ,,, literally not bothered ,,,, every 500 meters I face cattle crossing ,,,, then comes the unruly buses ,,, these buses look like big steel boxes moving with out control ( modern Yama vahanams ),,, then not to
Mention about the pothols in the road ,,,, every Indian citizen has faced the pothols ,,,, then you come across heaps of garbages lying over the roads ,,, this is more so in Chennai ,,....trichy is far far better ,,,,, then comes the sewage canals ,,, I want to know what should be the correct procedure to build and maintain the sewage canals ,,, mostly in places like chennai , the mini sewage canals flowing along the roads and streets creating huge foul smell ,,, if we tolerate all these hurdles , the finally comes the stagnated rain water ,,, it don't find the suitable place to get drained ,,, it also travels with us ,,, yes as Dr Lakshmi Kandhaswamy and Padmanabhan said , we are responsible ,,,, we the public are selfish ,,, in everything ,,,, I dream one day our towns will have a separate cycle track as seen in China and European countries ,,, will my dream come true one day ? ,,, I am still dreaming ,,,, By late I stopped cycling but going to indoor centres for some activities ,,,,

Pizza2....Villa ...yet another soft and nice ghost movie ... They have used the same brand name pizza .. Similar type movie ,,,,thank god ,,,,it s not so horror full ... The hero jeban is a budding novelist of chennai ....he is in love with a girl ,...when he tries to publish a novel he fails to do that ... Finally he decides to sell his own ancestral villa and publish himself the novel ,,The story revolves around the same villa with full of evil souls ...yes,,, There are so many evil forces settled inside the villa ..his lady love tries to help him ,,there are so many sub scenes ... Actually the paintings kept inside that villa turns in to reality (real time incidents .),,,,.. The paintings tell about the death of a man , accidents of individuals , marriage of a couple and then the husband killing his wife after marriage ... After a while , as usual one exorcist enters the scene and tries to remove all the evil forces from the villa ,, but he fails miserably and can't evict the evil forces ,,, suddenly the hero self immolated himself ,to safeguard his lady love ,,,but whom the girl marries ? Will the husband kills his wife ? Yes ,,, the paintings predicts correctly ,,, the marriage takes place ? But who are the couple ? Lovely climax ,,, watch it once ,,,sure you can watch it once ,,, such a small and sweet movie

Trichy ,,,today went for a movie ,,, the cost of the ticket was 20 rupees ,,,shocking for me ,,,I am going time line back ? ,,,inside the hall fan was working ,,,ok .: there were about 100 persons in cinema hall ,,, out of which fifteen were drunk ,,, they were making big sounds ,,,10 were smoking heavily ,,full of smokes everywhere ,,,, the seats were sixtees fashion ,,, projection system also of eightees fashion .... the screen are slightly vibrating ....,,, power went twice ,,, there was no generator ,forget it ...there was not even a emergency light ...everybody went in to dark ...drunkards were making a big noise including whisles ,, Mosquitos were pouncing in hoards and sucking about 10 ml of my blood ..when the power returned fan was functioning ,,thank god .... felt heaven ,,,,while the movie was on , the screen went on and off time and again ,,, at times watched the movie just like MP3 ,,,,during interval went to snack bar ... I was looking for mineral water ...there was No water bottle. ,,, they were selling the dry items only ,,, purchased 200 ml of coco cola for Rs 20/~ ,,, inflated price ,,, mostly the customers were semi drunken , illiterates ,,, one person asked whether the chips was Sadha or cambeni item ... The snack bar waiter got extremely annoyed and kept on abusing the poor customer ,,, summa theva illaatha kelvi kekkaatha ,,, kelambu types ,,, touchwood ,,, there was no power-cut after the interval ,,, unique experience by the way. ,,,,by the time the cinema came to the end , I was waiting for a while ,,,the poor theatre staff had tough time in vacating the few drunkards who were already asleep ,,, I was shocked to see the effects of Tasmac ,,, fate of our youth brigade , the main aim of writing this topic is not cinema , I wrote because I was shocked by seeing the effects of Tasmac if mahakavi had come to watch cinema , what he might have thought ? ,,,,,,,

Venoth Ganpat Kambli ... What went wrong for this gentleman ? ... Probably suffered emotionally tensive and restless mind ... Why ? The talented gentleman probably could not materialise and shape up his life properly ... He probably had emotional extremes like anger and depression and jealousy ... Probably nobody to guide him properly ... Sachin on the other end lived a successful life ... Something separated them .. Probably open hearted and true opinions given by Kambli separated both of them ... Kambli probably had the love - hate attitude with Sachin ... He had some possessiveness over Sachin ... Kambli must have talked diplomatically in public forums ,,, because of his open minded talks he lost friendship with Sachin and then enmity with him ... Poor soul Kambli could not tolerate the reality of this bad world ... He could not bear the insult made by Sachin ... This emotional stress probably reinduced his heart attack .... I pray god for the speedy recovery of Kambli ... After all Sachin is not God ... Who will tell this to the poor soul Kambli .......

INAM movie review #INAM

INAM .....Saw this movie in oorvasi cinema hall, trichy …. This is one more movie taken on the sufferings of the srilankan tamil people around the final battle moments in 2008 and 2009 ….. Unlike the stupid movie MADRAS CAFÉ …which was idiotically one sided, this movie has tried to depict some realities …… …… I must salute Karuna who has been a comedian of tamil cinema, has done the very emotional role ……. My true credits and salutes to him for giving such wonderful act … what a great performance, The story starts with a place in north eastern part of Srilanka , where SARITHA runs a orphanage of abandoned children ……. In this same environment, KARUNA teaches such children English classes, in a run-down school ….... When the class was going on an armed woman cadre (? LTTE) suddenly enters inside teaching hall, and covers the black board with a white cloth, and runs a picture with a projector …this video stimulates all children towards the war for liberation ….. The children gets excited on seeing the video …… was this a reality? …… does the director want to say that children were not allowed to get education in time, but made to fight the war by the tamil fighters ? …… is it the aim of the director to convey?
The director has shown the love and romance between the teen ages orphanage children ….ok......are these scenes are really required? ……. The orphanage manager saritha conducts marriage between these under age teen children ….i don’t know why these scenes have been inserted ……. In reality was there any childhood marriages? ……….
in another scene, a srilankan monk is sitting on the sides of a small stream, and talks very politely … (he has been shown as a very good person) …he gives fruits to these abandoned orphanage children ……… what does the director want to convey ? …does he want to say that all Buddhist monks are good in Srilanka?
After a few scenes, the healthy children (male) of the orphanage runs out of the orphanage and joins the armed struggle ….. Then there are lots of scenes of gun battles and aerial bomb attacks over that Tamil area …everybody, every remaining civilian try to escape to a safer area ….
Srilankan army enters in to Tamil area …the srilankan soldiers do physical search of the escaping people ….. One soldier tries to do physical advances (molest) a young women by way of body search …. This creates angry among the escaping people …. KARUNA one among them object such activity by the srilankan soldiers …. soldiers beat Karuna heavily ....Suddenly some of the angry armed cadres opens fire over the soldiers ….. In this gun battle scene, the soldier who did the molestation dies …….… he is lying dead and he is carrying his daughter’s photo …….. ….. What the hell, the director want to convey here? ….. Does he want to say that he(soldiers) too suffered out of the war? ………. What nonsense?
Next scenes are very terrible …..The soldiers take the young escaping girls and rape them in day light ….. They also rape a girl who is 6 months pregnant …….. Does this much violent scenes are required for this movie? ……but the scene where one srilankan soldier takes mobile photo of the raping scene ….. this was the hard reality of the war ……..i am sick of such movies ..... I just suppose that directors like Santosh sivan want to cash on the difficulties of srilankan people …bloody nonsense ……

Finally the young girl reaches the detention camp(probably India) and narrates her complete story ……… I had the effect of seeing a good documentary …. One of the positive points of the movie was a smooth camera effect throughout the movie time ….the music was appropriate ….The movie is just one among a series of movies showing srilankan problem …. …… I did not like the scenes where the director tries to show a Buddhist monk as very good person … not required at all … one more scene , the director has shown sympathy over a erring soldier … (what and why the hell ……………… ) ……. This Santosh Sivan has tried to encash on the difficulties on srilankan people …we don’t want any more srilankan problem based movies ….

MILLION DOLLAR ARM movie review

MILLION DOLLAR ARM ......actually on Wednesday, i eagerly went to a cinema hall in trichy to see this movie .... believe me ,, there were just 4 people, there had come for the show .... the theater hall cancelled the show .... siting various other reasons .... i did not loose the hopes .... today i inquired again ... luckily , there were around 15 people had gathered for the show ... so they graciously decided to run the last days show today(Thursday) .... i was so lucky to see this movie ... the movie is all about a failing american sports agent ... he comes to India to find young talent ( as his last resort to boon his profession) .... .... he picks two boys by the way of competitions ... he takes them to Losangeles and prepares them for the base ball .... though initially i thought the scenes depicting India are not good , ... later on the scenes very interesting .... the initial struggle the boys face in US is enormous ...later on one by one they overcome all struggles and come up as winners .... the movie was very good in too many ways ... firstly i came to know what exactly the baseball is about ... how much energy is required to play the game .... after seeing this movie , here after , i promise that at-least for a few minutes i will watch baseball if i get chance .... finally , before the movie was over AR REHMAN as usual gave the pleasant surprise .... the movie closes with a lovely Tamil song .... i enjoyed this movie ... thank god .. they screened this movie for 18 patrons ... he he ... lovely short movie ... watch it

Facebook is treacherous ....A person blessed with good life with good schooling , good academic career , good successful college life ... Good Job with long fruitful professional career ,,,complete family with spouse and lovely children is everything .... If these persons put some message or photo in Facebook once in a while , it attracts hundreds of people instantly .,, but nowadays people with cursed life like unemployed youth , underemployed youth , guys having poor academics in schools and colleges , persons having fractured family life , failure family life SHINE NICELY in Facebook .... These guys are addicted to empty fame that Facebook gives them ... They are mesmerised by the Facebook likes and comments ....I know few people , who used to throw some 50 messages per day have vanished later ..., they are the mayflies of both Facebook and more importantly THE LIFE ....

GODZILLA movie review

GODZILLA .....yet another nice movie ... japanese still respect godzilla ( a mythological giant creature ) , which emits electromagnetic discharge from its body and it could spit high voltage electric current cum heat waves ..... the American bombing on hiroshima and nagasaki perhaps created a deep wound in their inner-mind of japanese people , and they started almost worship this creature ........... a group of international secret agencies do biological research and analysis on a dangerous monster called MUTA in a secret location in JAPAN ..... ......they do research on a inactive- dormant form of monstar ..... but accidentally these dangerous MUTA monster gets activated and become a uncontrollable beast ......they find one more such monster in nevada desert in USA ......the story is all about how they kill these two dangerous creatures with the help of the good mythological figure GODZILLA ..... ...... as usual we enjoyed the 3D technology .....apart from the technology the movie shows different emotions nicely ...... I never felt boring up the last second ...cheers ... luckily i saw in the last day of the movie .... 3D effects are remarkable ... please see the English 3D version

KOCHADAIYAAN movie is quite interesting ... Not bad as written in some reviews .... When compared with Motion capture films like TINTIN , and Avatar , this movie is just ok only ... But the positive point of the movie is the Charisma of Rajinikanth and the great AURO sound technology too .... Sounds do pierce your ears very interestingly ...... But the characters move like a person affected by nerve disorders .... Pity ... Technology has not reached us fully ... Rajini trademark works for this movie ... Don't miss to watch the last 10 minutes , where they show how they took the movies .,,

Salim Tamil Movie

#salim Oh what a solid movie ….. The story is all about a good hearted doctor who follow ethics in every steps of his life …. He always do good, even to the persons insulting him …..He tries to adjust with the bad society in an amicable way … ….. He gets engaged … even his fiancé gets irritated with his straightforwardness … ..,. he tries to do ethical medical practice in a corporate hospital ………..at one point , because of his too much straight forwardness , he is getting humiliated by his hospital ...... he is insulted by the money minded corporate hospital owner ……at one point he gets so rage , when a girl gets molested raped by the rich guys …..... in the second half he becomes a true person responding the societies evil people in the ruthless way ….. He takes on the entire police force and a evil minister alone..(Sort of anti-hero) …...... First half was very Nice ... Second half was like a thriller.... (But a routine thriller....) Definitely this movie is worth watching once.... doctors should definitely watch ….my respects to Vijay Antony as he has given a mind blowing performance ….

POOJAI ..... #poojai I wanted to see the renovated MARIS cinema hall ... That s why I selected this movie ... ....It is a pucca masala movie ... Ok .. It s not that much crap ... In-fact up the interval time the movie was ok .... Movie is Nothing but taking revenge , retaliation and finally culminating the villain ...., second half was unbeatable ... May be , I don't like fights .. That could be the reason .... Shruti hassan looks old .. ( is n t it ) .... It s not a class movie ... Sure ... Average masala movie which gave me lots of headache .... Only solace for this movie is the comedy trio parotta suri , black pandi and annachchi ...... Not recommended from my side .... My marks just 2.5/5
